About the location . . . .
Bonners Ferry, Idaho
** (PLEASE SEE PHOTOS BELOW) **
Bonners Ferry is a beautiful small town, located in the upper panhandle area of
Idaho, approximately 30 miles south of the Canadian border.
The town has a population of about 3,000. It is the largest town in Boundary
County, and serves as the county seat. Our area is heavily forested, with many
mountains, trees, and lakes.
This is a four season area. Opportunities abound for any sort of outdoor activity, if
that's where one's interests lie. Hiking, camping, sightseeing, swimming,
snowmobiling, hunting, and fishing are enjoyed by many of the county residents
and by visitors to our community. Wintertime skiing is available at great resorts
located just to the south in Sandpoint, Idaho, or northward at the resort in
Kimberley, British Columbia, in Canada.
However, you don't have to be an outdoors person to enjoy the quiet, rural life of
our beautiful area. Just enjoying the quiet, rural life is all you really need.
Important note: there are only two traffic lights in the entire county.
I guess I should mention, to be complete, that areas of a more metropolitan nature
are within striking distance. Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, with its population of 40,000, is
70 miles to the south. Spokane, Washington is about a hundred miles from here.
Both have the usual city amenities.
